On Oct. 10, Ministry of Agriculture issued “Study report on fertilizer efficiency on 3 major crops in China”. It is shown in the report that the average fertilizer efficiencies of nitrogen, phosphate and potash in the3 major crops in the season were 33%, 24% and 42%, entering into an internationally accepted level of being appropriate with tremendous room to improve. Officials with MOA indicated that various levels of agriculture related agencies would further push forward the work of scientific application of fertilizer, reducing improper fertilizer investment and increasing fertilizer efficiency from 4 aspects: promoting formula fertilizer to the farmland, enhancing application method transformation, strengthening technological integration and promotion and boosting promotion and training.
