Ministry of Agriculture explains why growing grain yields are bringing increasing grain import

        On a recent press conference, Vice Agriculture Minister Xu Xinrong talked about why growing grain yields are bringing increasing grain import. Xu said that in 2014, China achieved the 11th consecutive growth of grain yield. The main reason for the increasing grain import is that the global grain prices are lower than the local prices in China.
